Ethiopian airlines flight ET302 carrying 149 passengers and and 8 crew has just crashed on its way to Nairobi Kenya the Prime ministers office issued a statement this morning.
“The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express its deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning,” the office of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed posted on Twitter.
The plane disappeared from the radar 6 minutes after take off and rescue operations are said to be currently in progress.
The Boeing 737-800 MAX which crashed is the same type of plane as the Indonesian Lion Air jet that crashed on the 29th October 2018 12 minutes after takeoff into the Java sea from Jakarta killing all 189 on board.
